Life is fine. It was a stressful week, but a good part of that is over now.
The 2013 Triple Crown came to a close on Saturday with the Belmont Stakes. Palace Malice pulled the upset and did it rather convincingly. I'm looking forward to seeing how Oxbow and Orb fare over the rest of the year.
I saw Epic over the weekend. It's an adorable tale and if you have the chance to go see it, I highly recommend it. I finally got the chance to watch War Horse which made me cry hysterically. It's very well done in terms of staying true to the book. Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston are on horseback. And, finally, after owning the DVD for a couple months, I finally got around to watching The Hobbit. It was just as fantastic as I expected it to be and I'm so ready for Desolation of Smaug this winter.
I don't know if I've ever had all of my shows on hiatus at the same time before and it's kind of boring. In a post-Star Trek Into Darkness haze I've started watching the original series. I'm about a third of the way through the first season and loving it so far. I've all but given up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I want to keep watching but at the same time...it's hard when you know what's going to happen.

I struggled with writing this week but my WIP is still advancing. I hit 40k and counting.
Books Read: 1
I managed to finish Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly at the beginning of the week. If you like a mix of a darker contemporary with historical fiction, you might like it. I had a couple issues with certain things but enjoyed it overall. Now I'm juggling a couple beta reads while I read Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.
How was your week? Read any great books?
