Yes, I got my hands on Gone.

Three letters: O.M.G.

I LOVE IT! I read it in two hours. Without stopping. And it definitely didn't seem like I'd been reading that long. I wanted to murder Janie, love Cabe, and I also love Captain. She's not in it as much as she is in previous books, but she's still one of my favorite characters. I laughed, I cried, I threatened to murder Janie (repeatedly). Now that's a sign of a good book. I love the addition of Janie's father. I spent two books wondering constantly who he was and now I finally got to find out.

Also, I'm Team Cabe now. Just saying. I love him.

Following Agents on Twitter

In the age of social networking, agents are now more accessible to aspiring writers than ever. A lot of them have Twitter, Facebook, blogs, or other ways of social networking. General advice tells you to get to know the agents you want to query. Personalize your queries to them and target your agent hunt for agents that you think that your book suits the best. But is it a good idea to follow an agent beyond the typical information search? I don't mean stalking them to their house. I mean, for example, following them on Twitter. Oftentimes writers who follow the agents they're querying find themselves analyzing every harmless tweet the agent makes.
